HOBO: MEDVEVÁRA ACOUSTIC
HOBO László Földes – vocals, Zoltán Kiss – guitar, Zoltán Nemes – keyboard
The old, has-been hack – a.k.a. Hobo – has had the audacity to expand the repertoire of the unconscionable performances he’d previously inflicted on his audience to a hitherto unused genre, that of the puppet theatre, and to this end has created a musical work entitled Medvevára (Bear Castle). The performance is a journey back in time to a knight’s castle several hundred years ago. The goal is to assess, or rather compare the world of yore to that of the present, and to trot out the result; namely, that life wasn’t much prettier back then either. (Hobo)
It is the acoustic version of the score from the
performance that the audience at the ALTER-NATIVE Film Festival will be treated
to on 5 November, supplemented by a handful of story-like songs from the artist.

Krisztina Fejes: RÓZSA HERITAGE
Miklós Rózsa’s Complete Piano Works
Krisztina Fejes – piano
Though Miklós Rózsa’s name is
known worldwide primarily as a legendary film composer, his classical
compositions – his piano pieces, his chamber music, his concertos and
symphonies – have to this day been seldom played on concert podiums. Yet these
pieces are outstanding creations in 20th-century Hungarian music
history that form a unique blend of Hungarian musical tradition, European
compositional thought and an international musical perspective. For Krisztina
Fejes, taking on Rózsa’s oeuvre goes far beyond the art of performance. Th
first significant result of her years-long work is the solo album released by
Hungaroton, which is the first to compile Miklós Rózsa’s complete solo piano
works in a single release and at the same time represents the beginning of a
new era. The goal for the following years is to gradually progress through the
entirety of Miklós Rózsa’s heritage of classical music. The 2026 concert tour of
Transylvania and Romania marks the first international showcase of this
artistic programme; and it is also a cultural mission aimed at re-establishing
a living connection between Miklós Rózsa’s legacy of classical music and the
Central-European and internationalconcert scene.
