The B5 Studio AiR international residency programme aims to explore the complex relationship between artist and curator, and during the implementation of the project, it has adopted a local focus. The exhibition at the B5 Studio features video installations and sound works, alternative publications and maps, drawings and video works created during the residency periods. All four projects are related to the local context, albeit through different approaches: focusing on the dynamics of bilingual (Romanian-Hungarian, Hungarian-Romanian) and translation relations, exploring the Roma perspective and tracing the linguistic filter of reality; other approaches research local connections to water in the collective, mental and physical space, or seek complexities and subtle connections which can be captured in seemingly simple or banal everyday narrations.
