I’ve been following pop music for almost 60 years and have been in touch with it for quite a long time, albeit on an alternate path. For many years I’ve been thinking of writing down in some form the many things I know about the profession and my colleagues. The story I write and perform is not about me, I just pass on what I know. The main reason is to have a living record of this perspective as well, not just of the gutted or glossed over past and the pathetic present.(Hobo)

The idea of the project was born a few years ago; I’d already had some songs made out of Shakespeare’s sonnets set to music. I thought it would be exciting to write a full concert repertoire of them. So the first concert was born 3 years ago. This year I rethought the project and wrote several new songs. Its musical landscape is very colourful and eclectic, mixing several styles of music, going from jazz to electronic minimalist music. Shakespeare’s sonnets are diverse and pluck on many emotional strings. And this is reflected in the music. (Tibor Cári)
