Zsuzsi Ujj & Kristóf Darvas (HUN)

Thursday, 5 November, 20:00 – Jazz & Blues Club

 Zsuzsi Ujj – voice

Kristóf Darvas – piano

Ujj Zsuzsi’s songs accompanied by Darvas Kristóf on the piano. Instead of the Csókolom band’s rock and roll, this lineup is more puritanical and intimate, where the lyrics hit their mark even more accurately. Next to the songs known from Csókolom, a few other songs also make their appearance. Bittersweet chansons of fatality.

Gabriela Costa & Alex Man (ROM)

Friday, 6 November

Brazilian Soul

Gabriela Costa – voice

Alex Man – guitar

Gabriela Costa and Alex Man are the initiators of a singular project in Romania. After several performances, their concert material solidified in an album entitled TEMPO DE AMOR, launched on the music market in December 2014. They play a less-known flavor of Brazilian music, extremely sensitive, warm, refined and sophisticated, but still finding its way into people’s hearts in a rhythm that anyone can understand.

Gabriela Costa plays music and creates one-of-a-kind jewelry. She is actually a geography teacher, but she loves the music and the handicraft she is currently into.

Alex Man is an extremely appreciated jazz guitarist. Expressive and versatile – switching from one musical genre to the other with the ease of someone who is a consummate master of his instrument –, he is known to be a refined accompanying musician, always with an eye towards the musical aesthetic and eager to showcase the personality of those he plays with.

Is a sensational representative of the new generation. An accompanying musician blessed with incredible empathy and an adequate humility for the craft, who, at just the right time, turns into a breathtaking and highly melodic soloist.
