Kertész Mihály: THE UNDESIRABLE – Hungary, 1914 –67'

The Undesirable is one of many lost pieces from Hungary’s golden age of silent film. Academy Award winner Michael Curtiz (Casablanca, 1942), also known as Mihály Kertész, made this early film in Kolozsvár (Cluj-Napoca, now part of Romania) in 1914. Mari Jászai, the famous actress of the era, appears as one of the main characters. Lili Berky, Mihály Várkonyi and other contemporary stars can be seen in the film as well. Attila Pacsay composed the score for the now-reborn silent film.
