Jesús Caro was born in Seville in 1993, although he grew up in Puerto Real (Cádiz). In 2016, he settles in Madrid, where he studies a Diploma in Film Directing at the School of Film and Television Septima Ars. In his first year, he writes and directs a short piece, 'El Sermón', which is part of the official selection of the online short film festival Notodofilmfest. In the following years, he combines his studies with work as an editor in short films (M.O.M. (2018); Se Alquila (2018)...). In 2019, within the academic program, he writes and directs two short films: 'Yo Quería Decirte' and 'Himalayan Snow Leopard'. After graduating, he performs different jobs within the audiovisual industry -from Sound Designer to Assistant Director-, in professional short films (Nuestra voz (2019); Aita (2021)...), videoclips (Explorations - Alex Aller) and advertising (Pacific Films, Gotham Films). During this time, he continues to generate his own projects as a screenwriter. In the last year he worked as assistant director of the documentary film 'A veces hay que hacer cosas -aunque no sirvan para nada-' where he also composed and performed one of the songs of the soundtrack. He also works, mainly in the direction department, in different music videos with artists such as Gara Durán, Lucía de la Puerta, Lu Decker or Kalenn. His latest work, 'Descartadas las opciones más sencillas' starts to develop in the year 2021 under the mentorship of director and screenwriter Fernando León. This project ends up becoming a short film that he writes and directs in 2023, produced by polfilms and starring Nora Sala-Patau, Luna Pamies and Lorena Iglesias.
