The young couple lives in an apartment across the street from the closed and abandoned Sylvie Discoland in Prague's Libeň district. A building that became famous in the early 1990s as a meeting place for the business community of that era and cultural and political elite with the criminal underworld. A building personified by its co-owner, the now mythical Ivan Jonák. But Anna and Christopher are too young to remember this time. The chance discovery of an old shilling note awakens their interest in the disco building. Several times they enter the abandoned building and gradually find various relics and clues from the end of 1989 and the following few years (a white Mercedes, slogans from November 1989, collection boxes, period money, Discoland leaflets, ...), which serve as clues for further investigations that lead not only to the discovery of history, but also to a progressively deeper reflection on the present lived by them. Reflections on today's Czech reality influenced by the events of the socio-economic transformation are written into their into their conversations, but especially into Anna's work on an article reflecting on the shape of contemporary societal discourse. On their repeated visits, they are always disturbed by something or someone and leave the object in a hurry.Yet they are still fascinated by it. Eventually, they work up the courage and enter the house even at night. To their surprise, they find a vibrant community of today's 50-somethings who seem to have fallen in the early '90s. They all dance ecstatically together and have fun on the dance floor, and by doing so they are "fighting the communists" as they say. Exactly as Ivan Jonák wanted it...
