Werther Germondari (Rimini, 1963. Lives and works in Rome). Visual artist, performer and independent filmmaker, graduated at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome and graduated in Institutions of Theatre Direction at DAMS / University of Bologna. Attentive to innovative experimental neo-conceptual and situationist dynamics that are characterized by an ironic and surreal taste, since the eighties carries out a research that is implemented through numerous expressive media. He has participated in exhibitions in private galleries and experimental spaces, alternating environmental installations, videowork, and performative acts, focusing on hidden elements, pertaining to a real vision, social and political. In the purely cinematographic field he has made dozens of short films and two feature films, participating in hundreds of international festivals, including Cannes, in 1994, and the Venice Film Festival in 1996. There have also been many retrospectives dedicated to his work over the years, such as those at the Cinemateque in Nice in 2001, at the Round in Rimini in 2003 and at the Cabot University in Rome in 2015. Or even on TV, like the one on La7, in 2006.
