Susi Castelo (Madrid, Spain, 01/01/1996) is a Copenhagen-based Spanish director and scriptwriter with a pronounced fascination for human interactions, generations, life phases, identity, nostalgia, and magical realism. Her previous works include the short film “Olivia” (2019) and the co-directed short documentary “Koret” (“The choir”) (2018). Susi studied Filmmaking and Humanities in Spain, the United States, Great Britain, and Denmark, to then establish herself in Copenhagen, where she has worked in different production companies, specializing in international co-production and arthouse. She has also participated in other film projects as a production designer. “Bedste” is her third professional short film as a director.
