Berta Canivell (Barcelona, Spain, 10/26/1989). She studied a Direction Master’s degree in Bande Á Part (2016) and a Film Business Master’s degree in ESCAC (2020). She has been working in the audiovisual industry since 2011 as a freelance filmmaker, producer, scriptwriter and director. In 2019 she founded her own production company, Nightwalk Films. She has produced the documentary film “Balika” (2022) and short films such as “Nubes” (Edu Escudero, 2023) and “El tiempo se come hasta los diamantes” (Juan Lorenzo, 2020). “Sand & Stone” (original title “Arena y Piedra”) is her fourth short film as a director, after “Vermo” (2020), “Infierno” (2018) and “Ancestre” (2017).
