Miguel Alcalde (Soria, Spain, 11/18/1994) holds a degree in Audiovisual Communication from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. After spending a year at Queen Mary University of London, he moved to Barcelona to study a Master’s Degree in Film Directing at ESCAC. The realization of several short films in that school led him to write and direct the official videoclip of the Celtas Cortos classic, “20 de abril”. In 2019 he took the film scriptwriting course at the Showrunners school in Barcelona. His feature film script “El camino de ida” was chosen by Filmarkethub as the best project of his promotion and was one of the finalists of the Mallorca Talent Lab 2020 organized by Atlàntida Film Fest and Filmin. He has recently made the making of for the TV series “Antidisturbios” and the film “As Bestas” by Rodrigo Sorogoyen, and directed the documentary for TV “Más de La Ruta, el documental”. “The last day” is his fourth short film as a director, after “Un minuto” (2021), “AaMamá” (2019) and “You’re not her” (2018).
